Flash is used to add animation or interactivity to a website, among other things. Some websites consist of just one page with a Flash file on it to serve as the site.
SWF files can be added to a web page or played in the standalone Flash Player. Viewers need to have Adobe Flash Player installed to view any Flash files (including on a web page), but 93% of users have the Flash Player installed, and about half have the latest version.
Here are examples of Flash work done by Wild Wizard Works.
The Fruit Presentation is an example of what can be accomplished with a primarily Flash-based website. It has fancier effects than an HTML/CSS-based site but is difficult for some disabled users to view, and search engines may not index it properly.
Wild Wizard can make simple games for you to include on your website. (Note: This game is an unfinished prototype.)
Wild Wizard Works can create tools like a this floor planner. You might just want one for yourself or your employees, but you can also put it on your site for your visitors to use.
Wild Wizard Works can take your photos and turn them into a high-quality slide show. Slide shows can be a great way to encourage potential customers to buy indulgent products or services; this example slide show made all the staff members who saw it want to eat cake.
Flash movies can be a useful teaching tool.
This format can also be used for web-based commercials.
